RECREATION CENTRE UPGRADES UPDATE!
We are pleased to announce the grand re-opening of the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation CentreBring the whole family on November 21, 2009 for an afternoon of fun and celebration. In appreciation of the community’s patience through the renovations, we are pleased to host free swimming, open skating and site tours. Below are the details:

Building: Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre

For people who want to register in various pool programs, please call the registration desk at 780-865-4412. Ongoing registration will be available starting on Thursday November 12th. The main pool and kiddy pool will be available on Monday, November 16th. All other pool amenities, such as, the hot tub and steam room are anticipated to be available on or shortly after November 16th.


INDOOR PERFORMING ARTS FACILITY - NEEDS AND PARTNERSHIP OPTIONS ASSESSMENT
Hinton Council for Arts & Culture (HCAC) is collecting community feedback for a new Performing Arts Facility - they want to hear from the community.
Follow the link to learn more about the 4 different partnership possibilities for an indoor performing arts facility and then answer:

"Which of the four partnerships do you prefer and why?"

Feedback will be collected until December 7, 2009 and Town Council will receive the results on December 15, 2009.

HUB PARK SURVEY RESULTS
The Town of Hinton posted a survey in September of this year looking for public input regarding the possibility of developing a Hub Park on the site of the old Hinton Landfill (just off Robb Road). For two weeks, responses were recorded on a number of topics, including current recreational and cultural use trends of residents.

PUBLIC SIGNAGE FORUM HIGHWAY 16 CORRIDOR
The Town of Hinton Municipal Planning Commission is hosting a follow-up session regarding the Architectural Design Guidelines SIGNAGE REGULATIONS for the Highway 16 Corridor.
A presentation of the review of Signage Regulations will be provided and follow with opportunity for open discussion.
